Mother – NRC

I’m on the roof terrace with a friend. We look out over the urban gardens. A woman screams from one of the houses. Three children dash into the garden and the mother continues to curse. My girlfriend looks at me and says: “That’s always the case, there. And that woman gives expensive training courses to mothers.” “Oh,” I say, about what?” My girlfriend looks smug. “About finding the right work-life balance.”
