A mother was attacked and robbed by a man at Berlin’s Wutzkyallee subway station in Gropiusstadt on Monday night around 11:15 p.m.
The perpetrator is said to have first pulled the 36-year-old to the ground in the presence of her nine-year-old child and then attacked her with punches and kicks, the police announced on Monday.
He then allegedly took the woman’s handbag and fled. The 36-year-old mother was then taken to hospital on Sunday evening with head injuries. The child remained unharmed.
The Berlin Police Department for Robbery Crimes has taken over the investigation.
