surgery necessary
Maxence Lacroix will not be available to VfL Wolfsburg in the final stages of the current Bundesliga season. As the “Wolves” announced, the 23-year-old central defender suffered a “serious shoulder injury”. That would have shown medical examinations on Monday. An operation will be necessary for Lacroix, which will result in the end of the season.
The Frenchman was substituted at half-time in Wolfsburg’s 3-0 home win over FSV Mainz 05. Lacroix switched from FC Souchaux to Lower Saxony in 2020 for 5 million euros, in Germany he improved his market value from 1 million to 28 million euros in the meantime – currently he is “only” 20 million euros, making Lacroix the most valuable Wolfsburg player professional.
