X Factor 2023Morgan out with immediate effect

«Sky Italia and Fremantle Italia have decided, by mutual agreement, to interrupt the collaboration relationship with Morgan and his presence at X Factor as a judge”, we read in the press note. Then we get into the merits. «An assessment made following repeated incompatible and inappropriate behavioralso held in relation to the production and during the performances of the competitors and the numerous declarations that have also taken place in recent days”.

Sky puts the emphasis on the format and the aspiring artists who take part. «It is essential that the competitors and their journey remain at the center of the program. Music and talent have always been and must continue to be the fundamental driving force of X Factor». To make this happen, it is “a priority that everything takes place in a professional working environment and that comfort, however intense, is always expressed in mutual respect”.

As for the timing, Sky underlines that the decision has “immediate effect”, respecting “all the people involved and the public”. So Morgan will not be present at the live shows as early as next Thursday.

Who will be the fourth judge?

X Factor 2023 is in the midst of work, the final will be a few weeks away and the jury finds itself with one element less. Who will come to replace Morgan? Maybe some old faces from the program? While waiting to find out who the choice will fall on, we need to take a step back. During live performances, Morgan often expressed rather blunt opinions. Among all, the attack on Annalisa and his Beautifulwhich he defined as “incredibly banal”.

Then it was Fedez’s turn. “You’re too depressed,” he told him at the end of a lively question and answer. Next on Instagram he tried to argue and even tone down, but the fuss had already raised. Still, a heated clash with Ambra, taken from the phones of some people sitting in the audience, which ends with Morgan leaving the judges’ stand.

In the end, he teased the presenter Francesca Michielin live about the gaffe on Ivan Graziani. He didn’t know that he was dead and asked Colapesce, guest of the episode, what it was like to collaborate with him. And last Thursday Morgan didn’t skimp on jokes live. In short, an escalation that exasperated tempers and led to his exclusion from X Factor.

Is this really the last round of a relationship full of ups and downs that has been going on since the first edition? Who knows, but it’s right to remember that the announcement of his return – after the tumultuous farewell in 2014 – was greeted with skepticism by the press and public. And unfortunately the epilogue only confirmed the initial suspicions.
