More than half of Russians were not afraid of a new wave of coronavirus

The next wave of coronavirus is not afraid of 70% of respondents, follows from the results of the survey. Those who are worried about this are most in Moscow and Kazan, less in St. Petersburg

The onset of a new wave of coronavirus is not afraid of 7 out of 10 Russians, follows from the survey data, which conducted the service for the selection of vacancies SuperJob (available from RBC).

The study involved 1,600 respondents from the economically active population over the age of 18. The survey was conducted in 394 settlements on the territory of all districts of Russia from March 29 to 31.

The fact that they still have fears about the pandemic was admitted by 26% of respondents. Another 3% said they were very afraid of the coronavirus. In April 2021, 40% of Russians surveyed said they were afraid of infection. Five months later, their number dropped to 34%.

Most often, residents of Moscow and Kazan worry about the new wave (38 and 34%, respectively). Those who are afraid of another increase in the incidence are least of all in St. Petersburg (19%).

Women reported fear of a new wave more often than men (36% and 25%, respectively).
