In a warehouse in Bakel, the police found many household products, clothes and hundreds of boxes of shoes this week. Everything probably comes from a cargo theft from a trailer, somewhere in our country. The value of the loot is certainly a ton. As far as is known, no one has been arrested.
Investigations had shown that there would be a large amount of stolen goods in the warehouse. Last Wednesday and this Friday, the police raided it, although they themselves speak of an entry. The news was reported by Annemarie Meulensteen, community police officer in the municipality of Gemert-Bakel.
Air fryers, steam cleaners and fluff removers, devices to remove dust from clothes or furniture, were seized during the action. The police also took a stolen batch of designer clothing on Wednesday. These clothes alone have a value of more than 100,000 euros.
This Friday, the police went back, because there would be more stolen goods. Hundreds of shoe boxes were also seized, containing shoes and/or slippers of a well-known brand.
