A drug find in his car could cost basketball pro Montrezl Harrell from the NBA club Charlotte Hornets dearly.
During a traffic stop, the police seized more than a kilo of vacuum-packed marijuana, Harrell faces a sentence of up to five years in prison.
According to the Charlotte Observer, Harrell was stopped in Richmond, Kentucky for driving too close to another car.
An officer smelled marijuana and searched the car, finding it in a backpack on the back seat. On July 13, Harrell is due to appear in court for a hearing. The 28-year-old’s contract with the Hornets expires this summer.
