A fundraising campaign has been started for the relatives of two victims of the tragedy in Rotterdam, both for the funerals and to help the family cope with the loss. After just over a day, the target amount of 60,000 euros was already more than achieved. The counter now stands at more than 90,000 euros.
Mother Marlous (39) and her daughter Romy (14) were involved in the shootings on Thursday. for life. Romy’s twin sister, older sister and younger brother are left behind. “They were robbed of their lives far too early. In these heartbreaking times, we have a duty to come together as one community,” the initiator wrote.
The road to recovery will also be long for Romy’s best friend, who, according to the initiator, witnessed the tragedy, it can be read in the crowdfunding campaign. “She not only survived the physical violence, but also carries the emotional burden of the unimaginable.” The campaign was therefore partly set up for her.
The campaign has now also been shared by relatives of the victims. The target amount is 60,000 euros, to ‘help them alleviate the financial burden associated with a funeral and similar loss’.
The initiator says that the money will go directly to the family, giving them the space to focus on recovery. “Together, let us prove that the power of compassion and caring is stronger than any tragedy.”
