A novelty in this edition is that students must fill out an anonymous form before starting the tests, specifying in what idiom want to take the exams: Catalan, Spanish or Aranese. 79% pass rate in high school
Of the 40,557 students enrolled in the PAU, 32,172 are students who have finished high school, a figure slightly higher than that of 2021, when there were 31,821. Selectivity is divided into two phases: general, compulsory and which consists of five exams, and the specific, which is voluntary and serves to raise grades. In the general phase, students are examined in four common subjects (Catalan Language and Literature, Spanish Language and Literature, Foreign Language and History) and one subject to choose from among the common option subjects (Fundamentals of the Arts, Latin, Mathematics and Mathematics applied to social sciences). In the specific phase, students are examined in up to three modality subjects that they choose from 22 subjects.
