More than 400 dead from tropical storm Freddy in southern Africa

The death toll in southern Africa from tropical storm Freddy has risen to more than 400. In Malawi, according to President Lazarus Chakwera, 326 deaths have been counted, the authorities in Mozambique report 73 fatalities and in Madagascar the counter is 17. Earlier this week there were still two hundred deaths. Freddy is one of the deadliest, most powerful and longest lasting tropical storms ever to hit the African continent.
