In the period from June 1, 2024 to December 31, 2024, 2,087 driving licenses were immediately revoked, an average of 10 per day. “A strict approach remains necessary to implement a change in mentality and make our roads safer. Drivers must realize that they are endangering not only their own lives, but also those of others due to distraction while driving,” concludes Filiep Jodts, Public Prosecutor of the West Flanders public prosecutor’s office.
