Popova said that the epidemic of coronavirus in Russia has not ended

The incidence of coronavirus in Russia has been gradually decreasing since mid-February, when the number of new cases per day reached 200 thousand (on February 11, 203,949 people were diagnosed with COVID – a record since the beginning of the pandemic).

Some regions have canceled the mask regime due to the decline of the next wave of COVID-19. This decision was made by the authorities of Moscow, Moscow region, Kemerovo, Tambov and Kursk regions. Even earlier, the requirement to wear masks was canceled by Udmurtia and Chechnya.

The head of Rospotrebnadzor, Anna Popova, noted on March 28 that the epidemic in Russia has not yet ended. According to her, in regions where the authorities have loosened anti-epidemic measures excessively, the spread rate of COVID-19 is increasing.
