More than 15,000 people protested in Germany on Monday evening against the far-right Alternative for Germany (AfD) party. Armed with slogans such as “never again fascism” and banners with the words “Do not let Nazis participate in the government” and “AfD = Nazi party”, they took to the streets in Essen, Leipzig and Rostock.
