An old acquaintance suddenly showed up last night during the auditions for Dutch got Talent. More than 1.4 million viewers saw how pianist Lisette Brillemans stood on the stage of the talent show for the sixth time. The jury was again not convinced, but this time Lisette managed to get through the first round in a very special way.
Since Lisette has participated in the talent show so many times, Chantal Janzen and Dan Karaty know her from thousands. Because Dan Karaty pressed the red button at her last audition at first sight, Lisette has come up with something this year to prevent that early rejection. ,,The turnout is going to be such that people don’t immediately realize it’s me,” she says. “I want to be in the final one day.”
When she emerges, covered with a golden cloth, all the judges have no idea who they have in front of them. As soon as Lisette reveals herself, Chantal Janzen can’t stop laughing, while Dan Karaty can only shake his head no.

nerves
Because new judges Edson da Graça and Marc-Marie Huijbregts have no idea who the woman is, it’s time for a short explanation. She can play the piano very well. She has even embarked on an international career, as she also participated in das super talent,” explains Chantal Janzen. Marc-Marie then wonders where things go wrong every time. “She is very good, but at a certain point the nerves take over and the act does not quite work as intended.”
Lisette is determined. ,,It just has to go well and succeed,” she says. When she crawls behind the piano, the nerves return. “It’s going wrong again,” she mumbles just before she starts. In no time she gets a red cross from Dan Karaty and the other judges are not entirely enthusiastic about her audition.
Perseverance
When Lisette is finished and sadly wants to walk off stage, she is rescued by presenters Buddy Vedder and Jamai Loman. They run to the jury panel and manage to press the golden buzzer, which means that she advances to the semi-finals. The pianist can’t believe her luck, while the judges look on in amazement. “What do you think of this?” asks Chantal. ,,This may not be nice to hear, but let’s face it, did it go smoothly? (…) I didn’t push for the act, but I did for your perseverance. So congratulations, because you are in the semi-finals anyway!”
