More eye injuries at New Year’s Eve, ophthalmologists want fireworks ban | Domestic

At least 156 people suffered eye injuries from fireworks last New Year. That is the highest number in four years. In approximately one in three victims, the injury is permanent. At least eleven people have become blind in one eye, including a child under the age of 12. Last year, 133 people suffered eye injuries.
