On Mondays, there are more Covid patients in hospitals than the rest of the week because fewer patients are discharged on weekends. However, the number of admissions has increased in recent weeks. To illustrate: one month ago, the corona occupation was more than 500 patients lower than it is now.
There are currently 1445 corona patients in the nursing wards, 67 more than on Sunday. In intensive care units, this number decreased by 2 to 166. Exactly four months ago, there were so few patients with corona among the members of the ICUs.
Last 24 hours, 141 new corona patients were brought into the nursing wards. There were 10 new recordings on the ICs.
Some of the admitted patients who have tested positive for the coronavirus were admitted in the first place for another cause. This could be people with heart problems or stomach complaints, for example. After doing a corona test, it happens to be positive. The LCPS makes no distinction in the daily hospital figures between patients admitted with or because of corona.
