Arrests have been made again in the large-scale corruption saga that is playing out in Ukraine. It concerns army officials who allegedly cheated in the purchases for the troops to enrich themselves. In addition, officials – including a deputy governor – in eastern Ukraine are said to have pocketed money for reconstruction. Last week, several politicians and civil servants – voluntarily or not – have already cleared the field due to accusations of self-enrichment.
