More and more owners rely on the pet food bank

There are also a lot of pets today that feel the crisis. Every two months, about a hundred animal lovers come to the animal food bank in Kuurne for a food package. That number is growing. The most common packages are for dogs and cats, but food is also distributed for birds and aquarium fish.

Gifts and Volunteers

The amount you get depends on what the animal food bank receives. The food bank runs solely on donations. Many pet shops in the region donate their surpluses and there are also animal lovers who support the initiative financially. The volunteers who come here to lend a hand are also indispensable. A dozen volunteers are responsible for storage, distribution and distribution.
