Moose Knuckles brings Josh Puritz to the executive team as Head Merchant, Julia Yu as Senior Director of Collaborations, and Katherine Correia as Vice President, of Product Development.
With the strengthening of its management team, the Canadian outerwear brand aims to “deliver on the company’s long-term strategic goals” and drive growth, Moose Knuckles announced on Thursday. The focus is particularly on the product strategy in the outerwear, ready-made clothing and accessories categories.
Correia joins Moose Knuckles from Jack Wolfskin
Correia, Vice President, of Product Development, comes from Wiesbaden and was most recently involved in the realignment of the German outerwear brand Jack Wolfskin. Before that she worked for The North Face in Europe for eight years. At the US outerwear brand, she headed “the development of technical outerwear, lifestyle and collaborations and led the project team for the global adaptation of the fit” from the European subsidiary in Lugano, according to the announcement.
Before Moose Knuckles, Head Merchant Puritz worked for the New York label Theory as Vice President, Men’s Global Merchandising and US Retail. He brings 14 years of experience in merchandising, buying and financial planning.
Yu brings business development experience to the table. The Senior Director of Collaborations is also knowledgeable about strategic partnerships and driving new revenue opportunities and brand awareness in luxury retail. Previously, Yu held senior positions at luxury department store Barneys New York and brand Alexander Wang.
“Moose Knuckles Canada continues to innovate in bringing fashion and function to the luxury outerwear space, and we’re excited to be strengthening our teams to maintain the rapid pace of our global growth,” said Victor Luis, Managing Director Moose Knuckles Canada. “Josh, Julia and Katherine bring extensive experience as proven leaders in their fields and I look forward to seeing their impact on our brand and product.”
CPO Noah Stern changes position
Noah Stern, who previously served as Moose Knuckles’ Chief Product Officer, has been appointed Senior Advisor. He founded the Noah and Ronit Stern Family Foundation, which works to clean up the world’s oceans and fight climate change through innovation. Stern will continue to be an active board member.
“I’ve never really had the opportunity to spend a meaningful length of time outside of the fashion industry, where we’ve been together in the heat of the moment and intensely focused on building Moose Knuckles into an internationally recognized luxury brand that’s in the best businesses in the world, including our own,” Stern said.
