NEW YORK (Dow Jones) — Rating agency Moody’s downgraded the outlook for the UK to negative from Stable.
The change in outlook was driven by the increased unpredictability of policy decisions given weaker growth prospects and high inflation,” Moody’s said. Another reason was risks to the UK’s debt affordability from likely higher borrowing and the risk of continued weakness political credibility,” according to Moody’s.
