Real estate company Montea starts the new year with “strong growth” thanks to a number of new collaboration agreements and acquisitions in Belgium and the Netherlands. Thanks to the transactions, the portfolio will grow by more than 300,000 square meters of buildings, the listed specialist in logistics real estate reported on Tuesday.
In its own country, for example, Montea will collaborate with construction group Cordeel for the development of 230,000 square meters of new logistics buildings in Tongeren, Zele and Vilvoorde. In addition, Montea is taking over the building of the Expologic company in Ghent.
Montea is expanding the portfolio of its northern neighbors with the acquisition of buildings let to PostNL in ‘s-Hertogenbosch and Zwolle. In Tilburg, Montea is taking over a building from logistics company Barsan.
“In line with our Track growth plan, we aim to achieve the largest growth in the history of our company over the next three years,” said CEO Jo De Wolf in a press release.
Financial details are not stated. It is a significant growth. At the end of the first half of 2021, Montea reported a real estate portfolio of just under 1.5 million square meters, mainly in Belgium and the Netherlands, but also in France.
