Monkey in bulletproof vest killed in shooting between Mexican police and criminals

A spider monkey has been hit by a bullet in a shooting between police and suspected drug criminals in Mexico. The animal – which wore a pieced together bulletproof vest – was probably the pet of one of the 11 criminals killed, local media reported Friday on the authority of the attorney general of the Mexican state of Mexico.
