Shooting between a drug gang and police in Texcaltitlán, southern Mexico, killed 11 criminals and a monkey

PALO AMARILLO – In Mexico, a spider monkey in a bulletproof vest has been killed in a shootout between suspected criminals and the police, Mexican media report. The monkey was probably the pet of one of the eleven criminals involved in the gunfight, all of whom died. The monkey was wearing a camouflage hat and a baby diaper, has been seen in pictures in Mexican media, and was found next to one of his owners.
