Monique Hansler and her former daughter-in-law Antine Algra are confronted live in Shownieuws. The biggest point of contention? A vase that may or may not have flown through the air…

The slavish reality star Mike Hansler sells out one girlfriend after another. One by one they have to go through the one-person balloting committee: mother Monique Hansler decides who will stay in bed with him and for how long. She plays a kind of Squid Game with those poor girls: suddenly they are knocked off her obstacle course without being seen.

Antine in studio

Monique’s most recent victim Denise van der Laan has been gushing about it in the media for weeks now, but her daughter-in-law, Antine Algra, still responds to every TV invitation to talk about the Hanslers. She was allowed to work at the desk last night Show news review the final episode of the Hansler soap opera.

According to Antine, Monique is very deceitful during the final conversation with Denise. “I mean these kinds of statements: ‘I wish you the world’, ‘I thought you were such a nice daughter-in-law’, and: ‘Why are you doing this?’ While you still get the wind from you the day before.”

‘She does know you’

Presenter Dyantha Brooks then announces a live connection with Monique. She is there by phone. “We now have Antine in the studio and she does know you personally. She says: ‘This is also somewhat my experience with Monique.'”

Monique: “Yes, you know… Well, okay, that’s her experience, but I also think what she says is a bit nonsense.”

Private boss Evert Santegoeds: “One day you are the best friend and the next day you are the angry mother-in-law. That’s what she just said.”

“That’s not true!”

Monique looks at this differently. “Yes, I know, yes, that she said that, but that’s not the case.”

Evert: “But that is the image that also emerges from the series.”

Monique: “Yes, but hey, you know. It was all filmed when it was very hectic, busy and hot and so on. They just put me down like that… Those girls too, I think. I had a great time with them and it’s easy to say this. Antine and Denise.”

Dyantha: “Both of them have evil intentions?”

Evil in the sense

Yes, answers Monique. “Yes, that’s how it feels, yes. When they were with me everything was full of praise, and pleasant and fun, and dancing. Mo here and Mo there. ‘We’re having such a good time, aren’t we, and having fun?’ And then I get all this crap from them, how they portray me and all that. I think it’s scandalous.”

Antine: “I don’t think Monique is a bad person. We also had some really good times. That’s what I say: one day it’s great fun, but things can also really take a turn and I had a lot of trouble with that.”

Vase

The biggest point of contention between the two ladies is a vase that Monique allegedly threw at Antine. “No, certainly not,” says Monique.

Evert: “But you’re not making it up, are you?”

Antine: “No, but then… Again: I think there are a lot of experiences…”

Evert: “No, but did a vase fly across the room or not?”

Antine: “Yes, it happened, but anyway: I’m not going to have a discussion now about whether it happened or not.”

Monique: “I really didn’t throw that one. I swear on everything. How she came up with that is anyone’s guess.”
