Emotions as a path to labor reorganization.
“I’m tired of complaining, I’m going with pointed heels, to see why they didn’t finish this report. That brings a whole delay in time and we look bad with customers. I feel like leaving, it’s a burden to come to work” refers Sofía to identify a name, however this phrase is a compendium of emotions and situations that I hear daily both in companies and in people who consult.
Feeling tired of complaining, the desire to leave, feeling the weight, the emotion of going with pointed heels, are turning points that, when working on them, can lead to a change in the organizational process. Emotions, if we know how to listen to them and work with them, are indicators of a reorganization not only at work but also personally.
By inquiring into emotions, the ball begins to unwind. I ask Sofía what happens that she wears pointed heels and she says that she takes care of everything. He overloads her with things that aren’t hers because otherwise they come against hers and it’s worse.
We can observe this event from different perspectives:
From emotional intelligence, going with pointed heels is called “emotional kidnapping” and it happens when we get angry, we jump emotionally and there is a feeling of helplessness.
From psychology the person no longer has the defenses to contain the anguish because they are tired of denying as Sofia refers.
From the organizational process something happens with the conformation of the teams of the other areas and their leaders, that Sofia is in charge of everything without having a clear and assigned role. And thanks to the manifestation of her emotions, it was the tip to start analyzing sectors, working with key leaders in assembling her team, assigning tasks and optimizing processes.
Every time I ask them how they feel I hear “Much better, more relieved”.
Working on emotions is a path to building high-performance teams and reducing illnesses, since emotion, overload, and weight inevitably impact the body. In addition to the improvement in the process, there is an improvement in the work environment. Emotion is the tip of the organizational and personal ball.
