Money blessing for FC Schalke 04

Even if he would have been good to the squad in terms of sport, the completely clammy FC Schalke 04 had to let top earner Amine Harit go before the season. An undertaking that even proved to be difficult, not least because of the lush salary of the offensive player. Ultimately, however, an agreement was reached with Olympique Marseille on a loan – a good two months later millions could flow.

The “picturereports that FC Schalke 04 and Olympique Marseille have agreed that five million euros will change hands should Harit play 15 competitive games for OM. The loan would become a permanent transfer. That could be the case at the weekend.

So far, the 25-year-old has played 14 times for Marseille. The Moroccan international rarely played for more than 90 minutes, but especially in the Champions League he showed his skills with three assists and one goal in six games.

According to the report, however, the matter has a small catch, but worth millions: In order to convince Harit to say goodbye, Schalke had to give the noble technician 1.5 million euros as salary compensation along the way. If this sum is subtracted from the five million euros, however, there are still 3.5 million euros, which should significantly relieve the tense financial situation of the miners.

Does FC Schalke 04 ultimately only have a loan?

However, the bottom of the table will probably not be able to make big leaps in winter. The “Bild” speculates that with the additional income one could probably only get another loan player.

However, sports boss Peter Knäbel said to “Bild-TV” at the end of October: “We will definitely upgrade. It is our very first duty to reforest and strengthen the squad,” said Knäbel, especially with regard to the many injuries. According to Knäbel, one can now speak of a “stable Schalke”. Words that should give fans more hope.

Meanwhile, the “Bild” brings an attacker, who was only signed before the season, with a farewell from Gelsenkirchen: Jordan Larsson. The son of Sweden legend Henrik Larsson came on a free transfer from Spartak Moscow in the summer and was considered a stroke of genius. So far, however, the 25-year-old has not found his way around Schalke. In eight relatively short appearances, Larsson has yet to record a goal.
