Money blessing for Eintracht Frankfurt – players on loan from FC Schalke 04 and talent from FC Bayern are to come

Eintracht Frankfurt recently won the Europa League, thereby qualifying for the upcoming Champions League season and making a lot of money. The success does not only pay off financially.

A flood of new members (contribution 76 euros per year), a new merchandising record (earnings of 3.5 million euros in May) and a whopping 22 million euros from winning the Europa League (4 million euros for the final win, 3 .5 million euros for participation in the Supercup and 15.5 million euros entry fee in the Champions League) and the prospect of increasing sponsorship money: Eintracht Frankfurt can currently look forward to a well-deserved windfall. That calculates the “Sport Bild”.

Since the financial losses due to the corona pandemic are still serious, according to the sports magazine, the sale of club shares and capital increases with existing shareholders should also be considered. Especially since the triumphant advance in Europe has significantly increased the club’s value.

Eintracht Frankfurt was already active

Meanwhile, it also seems clear that a not inconsiderable part of the income will flow back into the squad. The loan players Jens Petter Hauge and Kristijan Jakic have already been signed, with Randal Kolo Muani, Jérôme Onguene, Marcel Wenig Faride Alidou and most recently Hrvoje Smolcic signing numerous newcomers. According to “Sport Bild”, however, the plans are not yet complete.

For Ko Itakura, who was loaned from Manchester City to FC Schalke 04 in 2021/22, and Marc Roca from FC Bayern, Eintracht’s sports director Markus Krösche is said to have already expressed an interest. The chance that top performers like Filip Kostic or Djibril Sow will stay and certainly extend to improved salaries should have increased significantly.

It remains to be seen with which squad the SBU will finally start the Champions League adventure. However, the prospects could be worse.
