Mondriaan Fund values Into Nature and grants subsidy

Outdoor exhibition Into Nature will receive 25,000 euros from the Mondriaan Fund for an ongoing program in 2023 with talented artists from the North.

Of the 81 applications, the Mondriaan Fund has awarded a grant to 26 art venues for visual arts. Into Nature says it is proud of this award, with which the plans made can be realized even better.

The Mondriaan Fund about Into Nature: “The committee is positive about the artistic and substantive vision of Into Nature, in which urgent themes are put on the agenda through appealing artist practices. The committee appreciates the way in which the organization has developed due to the recent appointment of a new curator ( artistic director Hilde de Bruijn) who, in the eyes of the committee, succeeds in adding substantive depth to the vision.”

Into Nature’s research program is for beginning artists in the Northern Netherlands with a process-oriented or investigative method. In addition, they have an affinity with nature or landscape. Into Nature says it challenges artists to conduct research on location and to develop ‘imaginative models’ about nature ‘visually’.

This autumn, Into Nature will announce which artists will participate in the program in 2023.
