The Italian clothing company Moncler has announced that a malware attack has caused a temporary technical failure.
In the event of a malware attack, usually malicious software carries out unauthorized actions in the victim’s IT system. In a brief statement, Moncler said the problem was “immediately addressed” after the company’s security systems “immediately detected the attack”.
The IT department was able to stop the spread, which resulted in a temporary outage of the IT service. An investigation into the incident has been initiated, the company said, assuring that the temporary failure will have no impact on its financial results.
The cyber attack followed the launch of the Moncler Select initiative, for which the label announced a collaboration with its global ambassador Alicia Keys. The curatorial project will continue in 2022 with new collaborations to be announced later this year.
