K – Mail Order GmbH & Co. KG, the main company of the Klingel Group, is selling its womenswear brand Mona.
The new owner is Bruno Bader GmbH + Co. KG. based in Pforzheim, the Klingel Group announced on Thursday. The contracts for the takeover have already been signed. The sale includes the brand as well as the associated customer addresses and inventory.
The mail order company Bader sees the purchase of the brand for women’s clothing, shoes and accessories as a targeted further development, according to the statement. The company, founded in 1929 by Bruno Bader, sells products in the areas of fashion, shoes, lingerie, jewelry, health, home textiles, furniture and household goods in multi-channel distance selling. “The acquisition of the Mona brand means additional growth in our target group, which values high service and quality and experiences an excellent price-performance promise with the most modern Bader shipping center,” said Colin Bader.
K – Mail Order GmbH & Co. KG, the main company of the Klingel Group based in Pforzheim, has been in self-administration insolvency proceedings since May 2023. Since no overall solution was found for the mail order company, more and more brands are sold and business operations cease at the end of January. In September, the Vanderstorm Ventures group secured the men’s brand Babista. The Popken Fashion Group also took over the plus-size brand Happysize.
“The successful sales of the various brands show that the group combines attractive brands in its portfolio. We will continue the sale of individual brands in the coming weeks,” said managing director Marcus Katholing, who has been supporting the company in restructuring with the restructuring company Pluta since May.
