Schoenmaker stops na twaalf generaties: “I can’t say that I can’t do that, I can’t say I’ve had it in there”
Schoenmakerij Matyn in Roeselare stops ermee na maar runs 400 years. Twaalf later generations gave the beautiful rags of the father to the zoo, but Eddy is the last. Hij heeft twee chtern, maar zij voelen zich niet geroepen om de familietraditie verder te zetten. “Het doet pijn, maar ja, het is nu zo”, says Eddy. “I can not change anything”.
