Mol Uma gives drum act at school: “I still live in a haze”

In the Play 4 program of the same name, the Kortrijk Uma was exposed as ‘the mole’. So she will not go home with a group pot of 26,000 euros and will return to the Freinetschool ‘t Vier in Kortrijk after all the media attention. There she is a music and religion teacher. She was received with flowers. “I still live in a haze. It’s like I’m dreaming,” says 26-year-old Uma.

During the last episode of De Mol, Uma had to give a drum session in a live broadcast in Paleis 12. She’d been practicing hard for five weeks, but still dropped a few stitches. Strange for a music teacher? Or rather just a good, last mole stroke.

To show that she is indeed musically inclined, she gave the best of herself with the drumsticks at school. Then there was normal class time again and Uma stood in front of the class. “It’s been a rollercoaster and it will continue to be. I come back to the real world and everyone keeps talking to you about what happened. It’s really crazy,” she says.

The students certainly don’t mind the fact that a TV personality is now in front of the class: “I have always seen Uma as a great teacher. It might be a bit different, because it is the Mol after all. very special,” says Roel.
