The child was born with the help of a surrogate, whom the parents of the newborn boy thanked in their publication.
– We are very happy with our family of four, Ferguson and Mikita write.
The couple also has a 2-year-old first-born son.
In the spring of 2020, Ferguson spoke openly about parenting on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.
– For a gay couple, becoming parents is so much more difficult, because you can’t just try for a child using traditional means. You really have to try. It’s a process, and our process has lasted about a year and a half, Ferguson said in an interview.
Ferguson, known for the Modern Family comedy series, was diagnosed with skin cancer in 2021. The cancer was found in time, and Ferguson said he will make a full recovery.
