The US model Karlie Kloss (31) curated a New York art auction on behalf of an auction house. Kloss has selected nine works by artists such as Yayoi Kusama, Cindy Sherman, Louise Bourgeois and Agnes Martin for the auction planned for March 1, the auction house Sotheby’s announced on Friday.
“Art has always allowed me to see my own experiences in new ways,” Kloss was quoted as saying. The 31-year-old is one of the most successful models in the world, has been married to entrepreneur Joshua Kushner since 2018 and has two children.
Stars such as Robert Pattinson, Swizz Beatz, Kelly Rowland and Oprah Winfrey have previously curated auctions for Sotheby’s. Portions of the proceeds from these auctions are donated to various charitable causes. (dpa)
