Cross-country skier Jakob Moch and combined athlete Jonathan Gräbert brought Team Germany the next two medals at the Youth Winter Games in Gangwon. Moch (Isny) won silver in the sprint at the start of the cross-country skiing competitions, Gräbert (Oberaudorf) secured bronze in the normal hill.
Moch, younger brother of Tour de Ski runner-up Friedrich Moch, was 0.33 seconds behind the Italian Federico Pozzi in the final, while Milan Neukirchner (Goldlauter) missed bronze in fourth place by 1.66 seconds.
Combined athlete Gräbert was only in seventh place after jumping, 23 seconds behind the medal ranks. However, on the 6km cross-country skiing lap he fought his way forward and secured his medal 0.3 seconds ahead of the Austrian David Liegl. Johann Unger (Klingenthal) came fifth.
With now seven gold, four silver and five bronze medals, Team D successfully defended second place in the medal table. Italy is still in the lead (11/3/3), third is France (6/3/4).
