Ceremonial award ceremony in New York!
Missy Elliott is the first female rapper to be inducted into the American Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. The 52-year-old American thrilled the audience at this year’s recording of artists on Friday in New York.
Elliott, dressed in a gold sequin dress, drew applause with her song “Get Ur Freak On,” among other things. Music legend Elton John and singer Olivia Rodrigo also performed at the more than four-hour show.
In addition to Elliott, Kate Bush, Sheryl Crow, George Michael, who died in 2016, Willie Nelson and the band Rage Against the Machine were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
The Rock & Roll Stars Hall of Fame is located in Cleveland, Ohio. Since 1986, more than 350 greats from the music world have been inducted into the Hall of Fame.
