The family of “Grandpa Siegfried” has been looking for the 91-year-old senior since November 5th. He disappeared without a trace. Now the sad certainty. The senior is dead.

As the police announced, the senior was searched for again on Monday. In the Britz connecting canal near the Britz-Ost port, the crew of a Berlin police boat then discovered the senior’s body in the water.

An autopsy is to be carried out today by order of the Berlin public prosecutor’s office. Investigations into the cause of death are ongoing.

► The 91-year-old pensioner from Baumschulenweg was last seen on November 5th. It was between 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. on Saturday and a neighbor saw him on Scheiblerstrasse, very close to his home.

Because the police cannot rule out a crime, the murder commission also investigated from the start.
