Maria Drezaliu, the 15-year-old girl who has been missing since last week, has already been approached by people from outside the care institution in Ossendrecht where she was staying. The girl, originally Romanian, was in that institution because of concerns about human trafficking.
The police reported Tuesday in Opsporing Verzocht that Drezaliu was able to escape by running to her escorts.
Bald, chubby man is suspect
Drezaliu was outside exercising on King’s Day when she was taken by a bald, chubby man in her forties. According to the police, it is possible that she is still in the company of that suspect, but that does not have to be the case.
The police consider the possibility that the 15-year-old girl was taken abroad and are very concerned. “Any bit of information about where Maria has been or may be now, or who may be or may have been with her, is of great importance,” the police said.

Drezaliu is 1.68 meters tall, has long dark hair and full eyebrows. She speaks Dutch and Romanian. She was wearing black sportswear during her disappearance.
