The police have found a dead man in the recreational lake of the E3 beach in Eersel. It concerns a 54-year-old man from Valkenswaard who went missing on Wednesday evening.
According to the man’s family, he wanted to swim to the other side of the puddle, but then did not get out of the water.
On Wednesday evening, a search was already underway for the man in vain. The search resumed on Thursday. From the point where the man was last seen, divers from the National Underwater Search Team (LOTZ) entered the water to look for the man. The man was also searched with a sonar boat.
The excavation has an area of thirty hectares. “It is very deep at some points,” said one of the owners of the E3 beach on Thursday. He also searched for the missing man on a boat.
Missing boy
A boy (6) has also been missing since Wednesday evening at a recreational lake in Lith. On Thursday around noon, the police reported that the boy had drowned.
