Missing boy (9) found healthy and well after major search in Ostend

In the early afternoon the police started the drowning procedure for Schadrac, a missing boy of 9. The child was searched for hours in the sea, on the beach and the seawall. The lifeguards took all swimmers out of the sea to get a better overview. A search was also made in the vicinity of the station, because the boy and his family traveled by train from the Brussels region to the coast.

The child was last seen around 1.15 pm along the waterline, near the Kursaal. He was found in good health around 4.30 pm in Westende, about 10 kilometers from the place where he disappeared. He has been reunited with his family.
