It has now been a month since the last call, but 15-year-old Abdullah from Heerhugowaard is still missing. The police are now coming with more information about the boy, who has no immediate family in the Netherlands. “He suddenly ran away from the care facility around midnight.”
Since May 3 is looking for the boy† He is 1.60 years old and wore a black jogging suit that night. There are suspicions that he got into a car that would have dropped him off at the institution just before that – because of the boy’s privacy, the police are not making any statements about what kind of care institution this is.
The teenager made contact on social media a number of times, but then he did not say anything about his whereabouts. It is now known that he may have gone to Amsterdam.
Abdullah’s phone was picked up by a taxi driver who had found the device. He said he dropped the boy off at Sloterdijk station on May 18. That, possibly important witness, did not report to the police and the telephone was never handed in.
No immediate family here
Abdullah would also have been seen in other places in North Holland, for example in Den Helder. “The detectives have investigated and there have been several actions, but unfortunately we did not find him.” Before May 3, he had already run away from the care institution for short periods.
Adbullah therefore has no immediate family in the Netherlands. The police won’t say how this is possible. “We don’t want to put everything of his life online,” said a spokesperson. The teenager does speak Dutch. “We would like to know where he is and if he is safe.”
