According to sources, Krist fell out of the window of the 60-story Orion building in Midtown Manhattan in New York City on the morning of January 30th. She lived on the ninth floor of the building, but was last seen on the terrace on the 29th floor.
Her death was confirmed by her family, Extra TV, where she worked as a presenter, expressed condolences on Twitter. “May this day bring you peace and tranquility,” wrote she shortly before her death on Instagram.
Chesley Krist became Miss North Carolina in 2002 and won the title of Miss USA 17 years later. In recent years, Krist has worked as a lawyer and TV presenter. In October 2019, she spoke at an event to mark World Mental Health Day and revealed that she was undergoing psychotherapy.
