Jukka Rasila and spouse Mirva describe the Amazing Race Suomi program as a nice version of reality.
When an actor Jukka Rasilaa was asked Amazing Race Finland -program’s first season contestant, it was clear that she will marry her fiance Mirvan.
Mirvaa thought about the publicity that came with the television appearance. Juka and Mirva’s relationship had started in the spring of 2020. With the Corona period, Mirva got to know more public life in small steps. Now there would be a jump straight into the living rooms of the whole nation, raw and unadorned.
– Of course, it was very exciting. We talked about it a lot. Jukka tried to enlighten me, Mirva describes in an interview with Iltalehti.
– However, the special experience tickled and overcame all fears, he continues.
Mirva was prepared for the merciless criticism and criticism that publicity brings with it. However, the feedback has been positive and encouraging in all respects.

Bringing the couple’s relationship to the public and the subsequent avalanche of feedback has already sparked further ideas. Jukka and Mirva are planning their joint podcast.
The couple already works a lot together. They have written advertisements together, which Mirva has also edited. Jukka has done his first stand-up gigs under Mirva’s guidance. Together, they have organized trainings for companies. They want to continue the same line in the future as well.
Fierce temper
Before The Amazing Race at the beginning of filming, the couple had agreed that they would go to work “in peace and breathing”.
– After all, everyone could see that it didn’t work out so well, Mirva laughs.
The program showed, among other things, how Jukka got angry at a taxi driver who drove to the wrong place.
– Bad situations were brought before us, Jukka snorts.
It was decided in advance that Jukka would handle the eating tasks and Mirva the tasks where one should go under water. There were no other rules.
– We didn’t agree on any boundaries, what to show about ourselves and what not. Those would surely have been forgotten quickly when the task took them with them, Mirva reflects.
During his more than thirty-year television career, Jukka has tried anything and everything. The Amazing Race does not belong to the worst end according to his assessment. For example Dancing with the Stars in 2012 was a much more challenging experience for the actor.

Nice version
There was no time to discuss relationships during filming. The whole experience was covered in the weeks following the return home. How did it go, how did you feel in a certain situation or what was going through your mind.
It was also surprising what of the filmed material was finally shown on television. Mirva describes the final episodes as a kind version.
– Everyone saw that Jukka lived quite emotionally. Yes, there would have been our disputes, which had been decided to be cut out.
Mirva adds that of course the trip wasn’t all about arguing. However, many emotions were experienced.
– And I wasn’t the only one of us who let loose there. I would have liked to have left that point when Mirva called me a pipe brain, Jukka reveals.
Jukka admits that being eliminated in the fifth episode was shockingly sad. Overall, the experience taught me a lot.
– And what a huge relief it is to go on an easy honeymoon after such a trip, Jukka laughs.
