Mironov asked the prosecutor’s office to evaluate Delimkhanov’s words about the “cut off heads” of the Yangulbaevs
The head of the Just Russia – For Truth faction in the State Duma, Sergei Mironov, called on the prosecutor’s office to evaluate the promise of the deputy from the Chechen Republic, Adam Delimkhanov, to “cut off the heads” of family members of former Supreme Court judge Saidi Yangulbaev. He reported this “RIA News”. Mironov asked the United Russia faction, of which Delimkhanov is a member, about the same.
“I urge <...> the Federal Security Service to take all necessary measures so that the safety of family members of a retired federal judge is reliably guaranteed,” the parliamentarian also said.
In addition, he asked the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, and his associates to be more restrained in their words. In his opinion, neither the State Duma nor the state should disregard the deputy’s statements. “Controversy with opponents should not develop into a threat to the life and health of our citizens. Especially in today’s conditions, when they sound like a dangerous anti-Russian provocation,” Mironov said, calling the dispute “a challenge not only to Yangulbaev, but also a “challenge to Russia.”
The day before, Delimkhanov posted a video on Instagram in Chechen. The Ekho Moskvy radio station and Novaya Gazeta, citing a translation of a message on the 1ADAT Telegram channel (the Chechen authorities associate him with the Yangulbaev family and recognized him as extremist), reported that the recording contains threats to “cut off the heads” of family members. The BBC gives a literal translation of Delimkhanov’s words: “Knowing no peace day or night, our bodies, souls, property, offspring are yours. Ripping off your heads, working on you, killing you. We have a real enmity, a blood feud. I say this also for those who will translate into Russian. We have enmity in all directions. We have enmity, war, blood feud. And so do our offspring.”
