Despite the 5-2 defeat in the first leg, Jürgen Klopp believes in a football miracle with Liverpool at Real Madrid.
“If there’s even a one percent chance, I’d like to take it,” said the 55-year-old, adding: “We’re here and we’re up against an extremely strong opponent and we’ll try to win the game. And like that It’s hard, too: I think it’s possible.”
The English have to win by three goals in the second leg of the Champions League round of 16 on Wednesday evening (9:00 p.m. / DAZN) in order to at least get into extra time.
“I think 100 percent of the people in this room think we don’t have a chance. And if I’m the only one who believes that a little bit, then that’s okay,” said Klopp. “It’s football and we’re going to try.”
