Mintzlaff continues to believe in Nkunku’s whereabouts

Managing director Oliver Mintzlaff firmly expects that the French national soccer player Christopher Nkunku will also play for the Bundesliga club RB Leipzig in the coming season.

“It was important that we qualify for the Champions League. We are in good talks to even extend the contract,” said Mintzlaff at a “Bild” event. “I not only assume, but I know, that he will play for us again next season.”

Nkunku’s contract runs until June 30, 2024. Among other things, he was recently associated with FC Bayern Munich, but also with English and other top European clubs.

With Leipzig, the 24-year-old offensive player, who has 54 points for the Saxons in 51 competitive games, takes on Saturday after the first title in the club’s history. RB meets SC Freiburg in the Berlin Olympic Stadium (8:00 p.m.).
