On the Hunzelaan in Gasselternijveen, a cyclist was hit by a motorist around 08:00 this morning. The cyclist, who is still a minor, was seriously injured.
According to the police, the fire brigade, ambulance and mobile medical team came to the scene to provide assistance. The victim was eventually taken to hospital by ambulance after being treated by paramedics.
The cause of the collision is unknown.
