Several Italian media reported that the famous player’s agent Mino Raiola passed away. While the first obituaries were being published, the agent called from the sickbed with a clear message.
On Wednesday afternoon, several Italian media reported unanimously that the famous football player agent Mino Raiola had died at the age of 54 as a result of an unspecified illness. The sports daily “Gazzetta dello Sport” published a (prepared) obituary, the Spanish champions Real Madrid sent out expressions of condolence via Twitter. His office in Monaco immediately denied the reports when asked on t-online.
A good half hour later, Raiola, who had been declared dead, spoke up himself. “Current state of health for anyone wondering: pissed that I’m going to be declared dead for the second time in four months,” tweeted the agent, who, among other things, represents Borussia Dortmund’s star striker Erling Haaland.
However, the Dutchman of Italian descent seems to be in treatment. dr Alberto Zangrillo, from San Raffaele Hospital in Milan, told Italian news agency ANSA that Raiola is currently fighting for his life. In addition, the treating doctor criticized the lack of discretion: “I am angry about the countless calls from would-be journalists.”
