Actor and producer Minna Haapkylä50, arrived on Wednesday at the opening ceremony of the new Culture Barracks in Helsinki.
Haapkylä says that he recently returned from his honeymoon. The newly married couple spent a good week touring the south of France. Haapkylä describes the trip as romantic.

Currently, Haapkylä is working on television series and movies with Rabbit Film, which will start filming next year.
– Really interesting things are coming. I guess I can’t reveal anything yet. I would like to, the producer hints.
Haapkylä will be open to many kinds of projects in the future.
– I believe in people and ideas, that someone has the fire to do something about a topic. My job as a producer is to support that person.

Last Saturday the singer Maija Vilkkumaa celebrated his 50th birthday in a big concert organized in the ice hall in Helsinki. Haapkylä was also watching the concert.
– Of course I was! It was the most wonderful gig in the world, so wonderful. I cried and laughed and I was impressed, Haapkylä beams.
Haapkylä and Vilkkumaa played together in the Tarharymmä band in the early 1990s. The two have remained friends to this day.
Haapkylä served as the band’s bass player. He does not long to return to the music career.
– I was so bad! It wasn’t my thing at all. I looked at Maija and thought that I would never be allowed to do that, Haapkylä laughs.
