Minister Bak attended the opening of the 2nd Gazi Games organized by Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality in memory of Sani Konukoğlu.
Speaking here, Minister Bak expressed his pleasure to be in the sports city of Gaziantep.
Bak stated that, as the Ministry of Youth and Sports, they are one of the countries that invest the most in sports with the facilities they have built in all provinces of Turkey, and said:
“We would like to express our gratitude to our President, who comes from sports background and is the elder brother of young people. Gaziantep is taking important steps towards becoming a sports city with the investments made and the performance. As the Ministry, one of our most important duties is the fight against addiction, the fight against drugs and the fight against bad habits. I call out to the families from here, Hold your children’s hands and take them to sports facilities. Let’s keep our children away from bad habits. Imagine, there is a child in a house who uses drugs. The damage he causes to his environment, his family, and makes the environment uneasy. There is a child in a house, he does sports; he achieves success, medals. “He wins and sees value in society. As a good example for you, the young people, 10 thousand students will compete in 118 categories in approximately 20 branches in the 2nd Gazi Games.”
“THE STRONG TURKEY IS COMING IN EVERY FIELD”
Stating that Gaziantep will progress towards becoming a sports city, Minister Bak stated that Turkey will progress step by step towards becoming a sports country.
Minister Bak continued his speech as follows:
“Children in Gaza should not cry. If Jerusalem falls, Mecca falls. We need to stand against oppression. We cannot remain silent while babies are dying, we need to make noise. We stand by Gaza. We are proud of the young people of strong Turkey, who grew and developed in the 100th year of our Republic. Turkey Our country will be stronger in the 21st century. A strong Turkey is coming in every field with the investments, scientists and sports. The future of this Turkey is our youth. We trust and believe in you. There is a strong Turkey in its region under the leadership of our President. The guarantee of this is the youth. World champions, “We want Olympic champions. We want to raise our flag and make the whole world listen to our National Anthem. I wish the 2nd Gazi Games to be beneficial.”
World Ethnosport Confederation President Bilal Erdoğan stated that Gaziantep’s investments in sports are important.
Explaining that they will make the same investments in traditional sports, Bilal Erdoğan said:
“Gaziantep is one of the strong cities of traditional sports. I would like to thank the elders who govern Gaziantep for the importance they give to sports. We have to be strong and work hard. Doing proper, disciplined sports is actually the first step towards these. I believe that when we bring this into our lives, we will be both strong and “You can be hard-working individuals who achieve their goals.”
Gaziantep Governor Kemal Çeber noted that Gaziantep is a sports city and that they want to get the most share from sports tourism and that young people are needed for this.
Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Fatma Şahin also stated that they will continue their investments in sports.
Then, the opening torch of the organization was lit with the participation of the athletes.
Minister Bak and protocol members then inspected the construction site of Şahinbey Nation Library and Şahinbey Nation Mosque.
